How to Use Rinker Tablets
- Open pack.
- Pour water into desired container.
- Drop tablet(s) into water.
- Let tablets dissolve.
- Ready for use!
1 Spray Bottle or 1-Liter of Water:
Two 1g Tablets
10 Liters (2.64 Gallons) of Water:
One 20g Tablet or 20 1g Tablets
To clean and disinfect your surfaces simultaneously, just add 3-4 drops of dishwashing liquid per liter of water.
Once mixed, Rinker liquid is effective for up to two weeks with proper storage. Unused tablets will last up to 1 year if kept in a dry, dark, and room temperature location in air-sealed packaging.

Formula Scientifically Proven by the EPA
Our aquarium cleaning products are formulated with Chlorine Dioxide, a powerful, non-toxic, and antimicrobial disinfectant that’s been shown to effectively kill bacteria, viruses, mold, algae, and other harmful microorganisms that are on any hard surface. They also eliminate any hard surface odor by neutralizing it, with no residue.
Stabilized chlorine dioxide has the following properties:
- Instantaneous sterilizing & deactivating effects on various microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi (molds), viruses, protozoa, and spores;
- Excellent deodorizing effects;
- Low, unharmful toxicity to the human body;
- No harmful byproducts (trihalomethane);
- Effectiveness at a wide pH ranges (pH 1-10);
- Low corrosivity;
- High biodegradability (low environmental load); and

Chlorine dioxide’s disinfecting properties are scientifically proven to have 2.6 times higher oxidative activity than chlorine and 10 to 100 times stronger instantaneous effects than hypochlorite. Chorine Dioxide (Cl02) is not a new chemical. It’s just a chemical that the US is not very familiar with. There's a reason behind why Germany and Japan have very low numbers when it comes to Coronavirus. They are the only two countries that exclusively focused on using ClO2 during the recent pandemic. It’s a chemical they use on a daily basis, both on a commercial level and in households.
When it comes to prevention, we should consider OSHA data about CLO2, which focuses more on disinfection when people are present.
Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) is chemically dissimilar and acts differently from chlorine. The ClO2 disinfecting molecule produced by Rinker is not sensitive to high pH environments and has more than 2.6 times the oxidation capacity of chlorine and other commonly used disinfectants.
ClO2 has low oxidation strength, meaning that its biocidal power is not wasted on attacking inert organic contamination, which in the case of chlorine leads to the formation of environmentally hazardous chlorinated organic compounds, such as Trihalomethane (THM) and Haloacetic Acids (HAA). ClO2 allows for more accurate application as the biocide is targeted where it is needed most.
Chlorine Dioxide ensures that the biocide is targeted directly on the active proteins found on the bacterial cell surfaces, saving disinfection time and costs. It means considerably lower dose rates are required, further improving safety and ease of use, whilst minimizing environmental impact.
